The Squamish Valley Music Festival was an annual event held in Squamish, BC, Canada, co produced by Live Nation Canada and BRANDLIVE. Recognized as one of the largest contemporary music festivals in the Pacific Northwest, SVMF grew to over 110,000 attendees by it's fifth year! The music festival featured some of the world's best including: Arcade Fire, Bruno Mars, Eminem, Drake, Sam Smith, Mumford and Sons as well as some of my favourites like Odesza, Porter Robinson, First Aid Kit, and Temper Trap.
While working at BRANDLIVE as the Brand Experience Designer my role with SVMF covered a broad list of responsibilities: from designing and painting select pieces of the onsite signage, to managing the front of house and main gates, to overseeing VIP staff and the futuristic RFID wristband payment system. This festival was more than just a celebration of music, it was a melting pot of art, brand activations, food trucks, dance parties and happenings. It created a community in Vancouver that was missing until this event came together and I am proud to say I was a part of the team who made it.
